A Million Mile Secrets Interview – Featuring AYP!

Alt text: A webpage from the blog "Million Mile Secrets" featuring an article titled "Every Mile Counts, No Matter How Insignificant the Promotion May Seem!" The page includes a section for email updates, advertisements for credit cards, and social media links. There is a photo of a person standing inside a large, hollowed-out tree trunk in a forest. The article discusses an interview with Derek from the blog "AcCounting Your Points," which helps readers travel more while spending less.

To new friends, welcome to AcCounting Your Points! Thanks for joining me today!

And to old friends, welcome back!

If you follow Million Mile Secrets, then you may have noticed yours truly smack dab in the middle of their latest post. What an awesome experience it is to be featured on Emily and Daraius’ blog!

MMS Interview - Post

As someone who has read Million Mile Secrets every day for the past 3+ years (seriously, every day…), I was honored when I received an email from Emily (co-author of MMS) inviting me to participate in the Interview Series! Million Mile Secrets has been an inspiration for my points and miles hobby and for my blog, AcCounting Your Points, and for that I owe Emily and Daraius many thanks!

As a quick introduction – my name is Derek!

Cheers to AYP readers new and old!

In addition to working as a CPA, I head up AcCounting Your Points (with some heavy assistance by my wife, Mallory) with the goal of helping YOU travel for LESS $$ by using frequent flyer miles, rewards points, and limited-time travel deals!

One major key here at AYP is that we aren’t here to show off or travel brag, but to save you time, money and hassle by using a variety of tips and tricks that we have picked up over the past few years! Whether you are planning a romantic first-class honeymoon or just looking for a quick weekend getaway, the information we post at AYP can help you achieve those travel goals for pennies on the dollar!

And if you don’t have enough time to read the posts and apply the techniques on your own, I guarantee you that we will take the hassle out of the points/miles travel game for you through AYP Travel Consulting services – where we do the work for you!

You pick the time and place – I’ll get you there for cheap!

Now that you are here, please take a look around the blog! At AYP, I cover a variety of topics, including top credit card offers, such as the Starwood Preferred American Express, hotel reviews like my recent stay at the Park Hyatt Vendome, “How-To” travel tips like utilizing Google Flights, and much more!

SW Takeoff - AYP
AYP can really help you “take off” on your next adventure… cheesy, but I like it!

As I mentioned in the interview, even greater than my love for travel is my desire to assist others in achieving their travel dreams! At AYP, I base my content on questions that friends and family are asking me, so please do not hesitate to ASK! ASK ASK ASK!

See the world for free/cheap – and send me a postcard while you’re there!

I love your questions so much that I have decided to incentivize them a bit extra today. New and old readers alike, send me a travel related question (or even a travel related statement) at accountingyourpoints@yahoo.com and you will be entered for a chance to win 2 FREE United Club passes! These passes will get you (and a friend) admittance to one of many  United Club locations and will give you some reprieve from busy airport terminals! Send an email by Monday, March 21, 2016 and I will choose a winner at random on Tuesday!

The image shows a dark blue card with the text "HYATT GOLD PASSPORT" in the top left corner and "UNITED Club" in the top right corner. The main text in the center of the card reads "One-time pass" in yellow letters. At the bottom of the card, it says "Valid through 6/30/2017" in white letters. The card appears to be a one-time pass for the United Club, associated with the Hyatt Gold Passport program.
Kick back and relax in the United Club of your choice!

Glad to have you and as always, Happy Travels!
