220k AAdvantage Miles Up For Grabs
So you’re looking to boost your AAdvantage balance? And you are looking to do so in the most efficient and effective manner?
Say no more, you have come to the right place…
Cue the increased AAdvantage mile credit card offers from our friends at Citi and Barclaycard!
The Citi Offers:
Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite MasterCard – 60,000 AAdvantage miles after $3K in purchases within the first 3 months. Annual fee of $95 (waived year 1).
In addition, you’ll earn 10% of your redeemed AAdvantage miles back — up to 10,000 AAdvantage miles each calendar year.
Other card benefits include:
First checked bag is free on domestic American Airlines itineraries for you and up to four companions traveling with you on the same reservation
Preferred boarding on American Airlines flights
No Foreign Transaction Fees on purchases
Receive 25% savings on in-flight food and beverage purchases when you using your card
2x AAdvantage miles on eligible American Airlines purchases
10% of your redeemed AAdvantage miles back — up to 10,000 AAdvantage miles each calendar year
I don’t really like any of these card for every spend so it typically stays at home in a drawer. The real benefits are fat sign-up bonuses, annual 10% rebate on AAdvantage miles redeemed and then the free checked bag and priority boarding benefits! (The benefits are quite similar on all these cards, so we won’t detail them all out again…)
RUNNING BONUS TOTAL = 60,000 AAdvantage Miles
#1 – You must wait 8 days after application before applying for another card, or you will be instantly denied.
#2 – No more than 2 Citi applications within 65 days, or you will be instantly denied.
RUNNING BONUS TOTAL = 120,000 AAdvantage Miles
Note: If you have opened or closed the personal version in the last 24 months, you are not eligible for the personal sign-up bonus (you can still earn the business bonus). Similarly, if you have opened or closed the business version, you are not eligible to earn the sign-up bonus on the business version (you can still earn the personal bonus).
The Barcalycard Offers:
AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite Mastercard – 60,000 AAdvantage miles after first purchase & payment of annual fee of $95 (NOT waived year 1).
Note: This is a different product than the old converted US Airways cards offered by Barclaycard that are now AAdvantage Aviator Red World Mastercards.
RUNNING BONUS TOTAL = 180,000 AAdvantage Miles
AAdvantage Aviator Business Mastercard – 40,000 AAdvantage Miles after first purchase & payment of annual fee of $95 (Annual fee NOT waived in year 1).
A new card offering from Barclaycard with a bonus not as high as it’s competition (in that of the CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Mastercard), but a nice offer considering the lack of minimum spend requirement!
RUNNING BONUS TOTAL = 220,000 AAdvantage Miles
Ultimate Quick Hitter Strategy:
Day 1 – Apply for:
Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite MasterCard
AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite Mastercard
AAdvantage Aviator Business Mastercard
Day 9 – Apply for:
CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Mastercard
Then, within about 3 months, meet $6,000 in minimum spending requirements and see your AAdvantage Account balance jump from 0 TO 220,000!
OR perhaps wait on that AAdvantage Aviator Business Mastercard, as it is possible we may see this climb up to a 60,000 mile offer to match the others!
Final Thought
If you are in the market for some AAdvantage miles – YOU ARE IN LUCK!
There are four offers floating around that, when combined, could earn you 220,000 AAdvantage miles and have you on your way to some serious travel!
Whether you have your eyes set on premium class (first & business class) award redemptions on swanky American partners like Etihad, Cathay Pacific, and Qatar, or are looking to fly a large family accross the world in economy, these offers can get you where you want to be!
Are you considering getting in on any (or ALL) of the above mentioned AAdvantage credit card offers!?
Happy Travels!
